As founder, chairman, CEO and president of Wheeler Real Estate Investment Trust (NASDAQ:WHLR) in Virginia Beach, Jon Wheeler led the company from its private inception to a successful public listing in 2012. Under his leadership, WHLR grew from eight centers and a $38 million enterprise value to 78 centers valued at $600 million within five years - an extraordinary expansion in scale and market capitalization.
Following his tenure at WHLR, Jon Wheeler served as CEO of Wheeler Real Estate Investments, where he managed and successfully exited an 11-asset portfolio, achieving returns that exceeded investor projections. In 2024, he became chief executive officer of Resurgent Realty Trust (RRT), where he continues to leverage his expertise in real estate to identify undervalued assets and drive superior investor returns.
Throughout his career, Mr. Wheeler has overseen 120 acquisitions totaling $1.2 billion and 12 million square feet.
